Osborne Defib Presentation

Presentation of a Defibrillator to the Osborne Masonic Hall

On the 5th of October 2013, at a Regular meeting of Osborne Lodge No.2169, a Defribrillator was presented to the Master and Brethren of the Lodge by members of Osborne Chapter 2169 for use in the building. The Osborne Chapter members had decided over a year previously that for the benefit of all members and visitors attending the building that the life saving benefits of a defibrillator was an item that should be available and proceeded to save towards the device.

With help and advice from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Training officer Louise Walker, the Defibrillator with Adult life support Training, was purchased at a cost of £1200, which seems a high price to pay, but how can you put a price on saving lives?

On the 25th of October 2013, a training section took place in the use of the equipment and is pictured below.
