Keith Rogers
W.Bro. Keith Rogers,
21st September 1941 to 1st May 2013
Passed away after a heart attack while driving to a Chapter meeting
Details are on the Isle of Wight County Press site.
Member of Albany Lodge 151
His funeral took place at
St Thomas Church Newport
16th May 2013 at 1:00pm
and afterwards at Albany Lodge Rooms in Lugley Street.
Mr Rogers, 71, of Shanklin Road, Godshill, was a well-known Isle of Wight estate agent.
He lost control of his silver coloured Nissan Qashqai after becoming ill at the wheel and collided with a wall outside the Four Seasons Inn, at Clarence Road, Wroxall, shortly before 6pm last Wednesday (May 1).
PC Geoff Turner, of the Isle of Wight Roads Policing Unit, said: "Investigations, and subsequent post mortem examination has shown that Mr Rogers died of natural causes, losing control of his car and colliding with the wall.
"No other person or vehicle was involved. It is of great comfort to the family that no-one was killed in the collision and that there was nothing Mr Rogers could have done to prevent it.
"The family would like to thank emergency services as well as members of the public and staff of the pub for their assistance."
