After the Worshipful Master opened the lodge, all present were

offered a warm welcome to this the first meeting at Ryde,
especially to the visitors.

November 2015 - Following the installation of the new

Worshipful Master Bro. Nick Sillence, W. Bro. John Martin

presented him with a personal gift of a small booklet based on

‘Emulation Ritual’, to signify the many hours they had both spent

going through the ritual during the past few months.

January 2016 - At this meeting, a ballot took place for the election

of Bro. Ian Salter as an honorary member — this was duly

carried. Brother Ian is the father of W. Bro. Mike Salter and is

one of the longest serving surviving members of Needles Lodge.

February 2016 - Our first official visit at the Ryde venue by the

Assistant Provincial Grand Master, W. Bro. David Perkis, who

was escorted by four Grand Officers and nine Active Provincial

Grand Officers. The meeting got off to a very shaky start due to a

power cut, which W. Bro. Tony Latter thankfully sorted in his

capacity as an electrician. The ceremony was to be the first

raising in our new abode. The Almoner reported at this meeting

the sorrowful news of the sudden passing of Hilary Jarman, the

wife of the Senior Warden Bro Chris Jarman.

March 2016 - The second ceremony of raising this evening and on

the second rising the Secretary W. Bro. David Baggaley read a

letter from the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, W. Bro. David
