July saw a change to the bylaws to include, June for installations

and for meeting dates to be the first Wednesday instead of the

fourth Wednesday with effect from 1 August 1909, thus erasing
the necessity of holding meetings during the Christmas period.

The Great War Years 1914-1918

At the June meeting 1914, it is worthy of note that the Installing

Master gave the three addresses! This practice continued for eight

of the next nine years.

At the September meeting, and owing to the war, the lodge

recorded its lowest attendance–only six members.
