October 2014 Formation of a joint relocation committee.
The Assistant Secretary reported that a letter had been received
from W. Bro. Derek Cottell, Secretary of the Freshwater Masonic
Club, stating that the actions placed on the Club were completed
at the General Meeting held on 17 July. The letter went on to say
that the matter of the future of the building was now back in the
hands of Needles Lodge as the owners of the building
At that meeting, the four Trustees of Needles Lodge who were
present took notice that it was the unanimous opinion of the
members at the meeting that the income of the lodge is not
sufficient for the lodge to be financially viable in the future and
accordingly decided to exercise their power of sale of the
premises.
A Trustees Memorandum was subsequently drawn up by W. Bro.
Ian Foreman, signed by a quorum of four of the five Trustees, and
witnessed by the Lodge Secretary on 8 August 2014. The Trustees
Memorandum states: “the trustees have decided that they must, in
the interest of the beneficiaries, exercise their power of sale
concerning the said premises.
