November 2012 – The lodge balloted for the permanent exclusion

of a Brother under Rule 181 Book of Constitutions for the

transgression of Rule 10 Needles Bylaws. Thirty-three members

were present, 31 voted for exclusion, two against; therefore, with

more than two-thirds in favour, the motion was carried.

March 2013 - The Secretary reported on the second rising that W.

Bro. Clive Dobson had been honoured with the appointment of

Provincial Grand Steward, the second one for Needles Lodge in

as many years.

June 2013 - The Worshipful Master reported that our Visiting

Grand Officer, W. Bro. Keith Rogers had passed to the Grand

Lodge above, and that over 350 brethren attended the Memorial

Service held for him in Newport.

At the June meeting, although with no candidate Bro. Tim Perera

presented the 1st Degree Working Tools and W. Bro. Derek

Hornett presented the 2nd Degree Working Tools. Bro. Dave

Clements gave an explanation of the 2nd Degree Tracing Board

and W. Bro. Derek Hornett delivered an explanation of the

measurements associated with the 2nd Degree Tracing Board. W.

Bro. W. Pritchett explained the significance of the Master

Mason’s Apron and lastly W. Bro. Phil Thorne gave a

demonstration of the Walking Charge.

October 2013 – W. Bro. Ian Carnegie, the IOW Group

Representative, conducted W. Bro. John Dixon into the lodge and

introduced him to the Worshipful Master as the new Visiting

Officer for Needles Lodge. The Worshipful Master extended a

warm welcome to W. Bro. Dixon who gave an equally warm
