In the minutes for April 2011, it’s recorded that W. Bro. Mike
Salter will be honoured with his first Provincial appointment, the
Active Rank of Provincial Grand Pursuivant, and W. Bro. Phil
Thorne to receive Provincial Grand Steward. Also, W. Bro
George Warke was to be promoted to PPGSuptWks an honour
indeed for the lodge to receive three Provincial appointments in
the same year.
The Secretary thinks it may be the first time Needles Lodge has
been honoured with a homegrown Provincial Grand Steward,
certainly the first one since the forming of Hampshire and Isle of
Wight Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge No. 9263.
January 2012 - On the 2nd Rising W. Bro. John Martin reported
on a request from Provincial Grand Lodge that Christian names
should be added to the summons.
April 2012 - The Secretary announced that from now on the
Summons would be sent to those members able to accept it by e-
mail.
May 2012 - W. Bro. Mike Salter and W. Bro. Phil Thorne both
reported on their year as Active Provincial Grand Officers. W.
Bro. Thorne’s is included in the minutes but unfortunately, W.
Bro Salter’s is not.
October 2012 - On the 3rd Rising the Worshipful Master gave
notice of motion that a ballot will be taken to expel a Brother
under Rule 181 Book of Constitutions for the transgression of
Rule 10 of the Lodge Byelaws.
